As we work to deal with school closures and social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have assimilated a selection activities surrounding STEM and Environmental Literacy–all of which can be done at home as part of an independent study. These lessons have been created by local, credentialed educators and celebrate place-based learning in Humboldt County. Some lessons require basic supplies, others have printouts available for download, and the most basic only need a pencil, paper, and time to sit in the outdoors.
