We discussed having two SMART goals based on two different assessments.
The first is based on our new Star Math assessment. This goal is not a school-wide goal, but a goal that is teacher-specific. Based on the screening report that groups students by levels of proficiency, each teacher will set a goal for increasing the number of proficient students by a date to be determined.
Our second goal is a school-wide CAASPP goal. We have set 12% proficiency as a goal for third and fourth grades, as we feel this is attainable. We are hoping with all the changes we are making this number can be much higher.
